Deet Free Insect Repellent: Prevents Diseases Caused By DEETS

July 4th, 2010 by Maria Rivera

First question: which styles of insect repellents are safe and sound to use on your baby? Are they the exact repellents grownups apply? Or repellents that carry roughly 30 percent DEET or picaridin, once your infant is two months old? Or natural goods that are DEET FREE? Or no insect repellents are safe to work with on babies?

Remarkably, many mummy & baby targeted websites had related articles that propose answer B. That is certainly equally surprising and daunting. A large number of father and mother who ask that problem would definitely not even think of making use of Deet on their children, toddlers, baby, infants or by themselves if they fully understood how truly harmful it is. While the Physician and the AAP inform you it’s actually safe, it’s time to find a new doctor and recognize who is being funded by giant pharma & chemical organizations. How can any physician or association caring for babies advise that Deet is not an extremely poisonous chemical substance? We must take a look at the suggestions down the page and make your mind up on your very own.

The American Academy of Pediatrics advises not using any insect repellents on a baby who’s not yet 2 months old. Merchandise created using DEET (N, N-diethyl-meta-toluamide) or picaridin are both endorsed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for adults and kids 2 months of age and older. (The CDC in addition has proposed oil of lemon eucalyptus, however not for children younger than the age of 3.) Here are some tips and hints for using repellents that include DEET or picaridin. Use repellent occassionaly to your baby’s exposed skin, certainly not to the skin underneath his clothes. You shouldn’t put repellent close to your child’s eyes or mouth, and stay away from cuts and rashes. Do not put insect repellent on your baby’s arms, simply because they’ll unsurprisingly find their way into his mouth. Wash off the insect repellent when you come inside, and launder your infant’s clothing right away. Don’t spray insect repellents in encased places or near foodstuff. In the event that your newborn develops any kind of rash while using the repellent, wash it off and contact a medical doctor immediately. Hence, if you can’t afford to get it on the baby’s skin, ought to automatically wash the garments you sprayed it on, you should use sparingly, don’t put it on palms since every little thing makes its way to the baby’s mouth, don’t spray within or close to food, doesn’t that seem like terms and conditions that relate to toxicity?

Thus, if you can’t afford to apply it on the infant’s skin, must right away rinse the clothes you dispersed it on, you must use infrequently, don’t put it on palms because every thing tends to make its way to the infant’s mouth, do not spray inside or close to food, does not that seem like steps that relate to toxicity? The most constantly reported signs or symptoms of DEET accumulation in young children are sleepiness, head aches, tremors, reflex movements, seizures, and convulsions. If I were a new mother, I will not take that opportunity. Another professional recommendation that we noticed on these baby websites was almost funny. Here is one example: “Dressing up your child in light-colored garments that protects as much skin as possible will help guard him from pesky insects.

Prevent vibrant colors or flowery prints.” So, in the summer season, dress your baby in dull, full length apparel? I think not. Rather, let your youngster be cool & cozy in the most current style and use non-toxic, valuable insect repellent. Keep the pests and the chemical substances away for sure!Try to remember that organic insect repellent possibilities are out there and have become significantly more successful. Some of them ought to be reapplied each and every twenty minutes or so, while others last up to 12 hours. Constantly read the content label, but for the most part, you can correctly use on skin, apparel, furnishings, etc. to repel insects. A few are even so efficient they kill bugs on contact.

Wondercide has devoted themselves to knowing the secrets to top of the line deet free insect repellent. Right now, this firm proudly delivers skilled approaches and suggestions on the best way to remove stinging, flying, and burrowing bugs by utilizing only the best natural bug repellent

Lysine and Cold Sores – Is It Your Cold Sore Miracle?

July 30th, 2008 by Denny Bodoh
by Denny Bodoh

Lysine and cold sores – an excellent remedy if used correctly. By the time you are done reading this short article, you will know the truth about using lysine for cold sores.

Lysine for cold sores is much talked about these days. The truth is – lab and empirical data strongly support the use of lysine for cold sores.

How does cold sore lysine fix and prevent oral herpes cold sore outbreaks? What is the correct way to use it?

Great questions.

But, prior to using lysine for cold sores, it is best to know as much as possible about how a cold sore is created.

It is the herpes simplex virus that is the cause of all cold sore events. You may call them a cold sore or a fever blister. Whatever you call them, they are identical oral herpes sores.

This very contagious parasite virus inhabits 9 out of 10 people throughout the world. Most of these folks caught the virus before their twelfth birthday.

The herpes virus hides in the root area of your facial nerves and will be dormant there most of the time. This is an area located behind either ear. As long as it is hibernating, you will not have any symptoms.

The herpes simplex virus, because it lives in your nerve cells, can quickly sense a change in your immunity. If so, it will activate to replicate. Stress is the primary trigger that brings on a cold sore event.

Herpes virus moves to the surface through the set of nerve fibers that it has chosen to occupy. At the surface, each virus particle picks out a nerve cell to enter.

Each virus then forces that cell to act as a virus factory and construct herpes virus clones. When the cell is swollen with fresh virus, it is destroyed to free the new virus.

The gaping cold sore ulcer is the result of millions of destroyed cells.

Arginine, an amino acid, is the main ingredient your cells need to create this new herpes virus. Arginine is a common protein found in many foods. Chocolate and nuts are quite rich in this protein.

Your cells have a specific area within the cell for storing amino acids such as arginine.

Lysine is another important amino acid. Lysine can be found in high quantities in dairy and fish. Herpes viruses cannot be created with this particular protein fraction. Lysine is to cold sores as water is to fire.

Lysine and arginine share the same storage area in your cells. The more lysine you put in storage, the less room for arginine.

Reducing your arginine supplies by increasing lysine intake is a trick many folks use to stop herpes virus activity and support quick healing. It can also prevent future cold sore events by starving the herpes virus of the fuel it needs.

Lysine and arginine fight each other. Increase lysine in your diet with vegetables, fish and dairy products. Decrease arginine in your diet by leaving out arginine foods such as chocolate, nuts and grains.

Adjusting your eating habits to control oral herpes, cold sore or fever blister attacks is not usually much fun. Most folks prefer lysine in capsules for the bulk of their treatment. This amino acid is inexpensive and you can find it anywhere.

Lysine capsules normally come in 500-milligram size. You can get much more lysine into your system this way than trying to eat more lysine food. And you can easily take extra lysine rather than go without chocolate.

Lysine is very safe. Commonly people take 1000 to 4000 milligrams per day during a cold sore and 500 to 1000 milligrams daily as a preventative measure. Again, you can adjust this depending on how often you get them.

But, this is where lysine is misunderstood.

Lysine for cold sores is awesome when taken as an internal remedy. But it has not been very effective when put directly on the sore.

There are lysine salves on the market for use as cold sore remedies. Lysine must get into the cells to work. Lysine does not absorb through the skin. You must take it orally for good results.

Lysine for cold sores is one of the more proven and convenient cold sore remedies that you should be using.

I would like to give you a lot more tips about lysine for cold sores and some additional cold sore remedies that will super-charge your efforts, but I have run out of room here.

Whether you suffer from frequent outbreaks, or each one seems to last forever, lysine is a great treatment choice. But do not quit here. There are other cold sore remedies you will discover that work equally as well as lysine for cold sores.

How To Get Rid of Cold Sores – No More Cold Sore?

July 19th, 2008 by Denny Bodoh
by Denny Bodoh

How to get rid of cold sores fast? This article you will show you how to get rid of cold sores, fever blisters and oral herpes using medically sound and well proven home remedies.

Learning how to get rid of cold sores will give you great relief when you need it most. Yes, you have probably seen some wild claims by a few companies. They try to convince you their magic ointment is how to get rid of cold sores.

You give it a try and, again, you find it does not work.

If you are serious to know how to get rid of cold sores, then first you should understand what actually causes them. Then these cold sore treatment tips will make a lot more sense to you.

An oral herpes event – often called a cold sore or fever blister – is created by the herpes simplex virus. It comes in two flavors – type 1 and type 2. Either one causes similar sores.

This virus infects nearly 90% of the world population. Not only is it very contagious, but very durable. It lives for a lifetime in the nerve fibers near the original infection area.

Usually the herpes virus stays hidden and inactive. Only two-thirds of those infected will have outbreaks. The other third will never have a single cold sore.

When you feel stress, your immunity will fade. This gives the herpes virus the opportunity to become active. From its hiding spot in the nerve roots, the virus will go to the surface, enter cells there, and create new virus.

Once full of new virus copies, the cells burst open and release them. All these close cells bursting open creates the oral herpes cold sore you see and feel.

Now your body has the chore of building new skin and cells to replace the destroyed ones.

Healing speed is different for each person. Your physical condition and activity levels will affect how quick you will heal. Also, having the necessary nutrients available is critical. This includes proteins and vitamins from your diet.

Right now, I would like to show you how to get rid of cold sores that you are suffering with right now. Also, you will discover what it may take in your life to prevent them altogether.

1. INITIAL COLD SORE SIGNS

The first warnings of a cold sore is a burning, tingling sensation. If you treat it early, you can delay (or sometimes prevent) the cold sore from appearing. This saves having to endure the repair process.

Now you should act quickly and apply ice – or anything cold. It is like giving the virus a cold shower. It discourages the virus from replicating. This trick will definitely slow down, if not stop, oral herpes cold sore outbreaks.

2. KEEPING THE COLD SORE CLEAN A MUST FOR FAST HEALING

How to get rid of cold sores is well understood by our bodies. After the cold sore breaks open, there are millions of new herpes virus particles. Your body then creates a fluid to clear the sore of virus.

You can really help to speed up the healing process here.

Do this by washing the sore as often as possible. Use alcohol or peroxide soaked tissues or cotton balls. You will help your body get rid of millions of virus particles. At the same time, you will prevent secondary bacterial infection.

3. FAST HEALING OF A COLD SORE ULCER

Ice is great at the very beginning, but it does slow down healing by driving blood away from the area. Use warm, moist heat once the sore breaks open. This will speed the repair of your cold sore a lot.

Warm tea bags are the best way to apply healing warmth. Tea contains antioxidants and other chemicals that really help in repairing damaged skin. They are cheap so you can throw away after each use.

Boil the tea bags, do not microwave them. Microwave radiation is very damaging to the healing micro-nutrients in the tea (and in any food). The longer you apply heat the better. 10 to 20 minute sessions are recommended.

How to get rid of cold sores, for you, could be as easy as following the above suggestions. Or you may want to know even more effective and varied ways to heal and prevent your cold sore outbreaks.

I would love to help you further. I invite you to come in and visit my web site where I guarantee you will find a lot more FREE information about how to get rid of cold sores.

Cold Sore Cures – Can We Truly Cure Cold Sores?

June 25th, 2008 by Denny Bodoh
by Denny Bodoh

Cold sore cures – are they real or just hype? I would like to explain what all the argument is about and display the truth about cold sore cures – once and for all.

One group will tell you there are no cold sore cures available today. Another group swears there are several good cold sore cures in use right now. Who is telling the truth?

Fact – both are right. They simply are talking about two different ideas.

Those people stating cold sore cures do not exist are talking about the herpes virus. This virus causes cold sores. They are often called oral herpes. Once the herpes simplex virus invades your body, it is with you for life.

Cold sore cures do not exist, according to their thought, because currently there is no way to remove the herpes simplex virus from your body. If this is their focus, then there cannot be any cold sore cures.

Directly opposed are medical experts who claim there are honest cold sore cures that can heal or prevent the actual oral herpes cold sore outbreaks.

They feel you have experienced a cure when you no longer get visible cold sore symptoms. This can be true even though you carry the herpes virus. It can also be said you have cured an individual cold sore when it is finally healed.

Think about this.

All diseases can be identified by specific symptoms. We all have germs in our bodies that could cause many different diseases. Most of the time we do not get the disease because we do not get the symptoms.

You will see that the argument is also valid with cold sores.

Nearly everyone in the world is infected with the herpes simplex virus – at least 90% according to estimates. But, for some fortunate reason, a good third of those folks will never experience a cold sore.

These lucky people are enjoying cold sore cures without even working at it. For the rest of us, it takes a little effort.

Cold sore cures are treatments that prevent or permanently heal cold sores. There is no way to eliminate the virus from our bodies. But, you surely can prevent the virus from causing any symptoms.

If you want to permanently cure your present oral herpes cold sore, or stop future sores from occurring, there are truly some good cold sore cures available to you.

However, be careful with your money.

Most cold sore remedies you buy at the store do nothing to actually cure cold sores. They are primarily designed for comfort. Do not expect much more. I would guess by now you have already found this to be true.

One of the most effective, and easy, cold sore cures is to start taking a high-quality multiple vitamin and mineral supplement. Nutritional treatment is very powerful medicine against oral herpes outbreaks.

In addition, you will find that lysine is a great tool in your effort to cure cold sores. Flood your cells with lysine by eating lysine-rich foods (such as fish) and taking lysine pills.

Do you suffer from long-lasting outbreaks or frequent occurrences? If so, put the above suggestions into play first. Then, if you still need help, you have created a solid foundation for additional cold sore cures.

There are many good cold sore cures – that is the truth. Some will work differently for you than they will for others. This is true because your body is unique and reacts differently.

Simply put, building a strong immunity to herpes simplex virus with nutritional changes and supplements is your key to success. With this key you will easily unlock the mystery to some very good personal cold sore cures.

Cold Sores – Effective First Aid For Your Cold Sore

June 16th, 2008 by Denny Bodoh
by Denny Bodoh

Cold sores and oral herpes should disappear when you use these proven techniques. Read this short article now. In it you will find top first aid tips for getting rid of any oral herpes cold sore.

Do you suffer from cold sores, fever blisters or oral herpes outbreaks? Then it is help you need, not hype. You can use these proven first aid tips right now to quickly eliminate your painful cold sore.

Embarrassment and pain are the two obvious reasons to heal a cold sore as fast as possible. But here are a couple more reasons most folks do not think about.

- THREAT OF INFECTING AND DAMAGING THE CORNEA

The herpes simplex virus is extremely contagious. You can easily start a new infection by spreading it with your fingers. If you get it in your eye, it could be quite damaging to the cornea.

- MAY BE A LINK TO ALZHEIMER’S DISEASE

Scientists have noticed some protein similarities between Alzheimer’s and active cold sore outbreaks. Nothing to worry about at this early point. However, when the herpes virus is active, it could be doing other damage we have yet to discover.

You can reduce the pain and healing time with these cold sore first aid tactics. They have been well proven over time and are medically sound treatments.

1. FIRST AID FOR STOPPING THE PAIN OF COLD SORES.

The drug store cold sore remedies do not heal the sores any faster, but they can help reduce the pain. Look for a salve with benzocaine or lidocaine. They deaden the nerve endings, thus reducing pain.

Ice deadens the pain and reduces the swelling. Frozen tea bags work great too, and provides anti-virus nutrients. If you develop fever, headaches, and swollen glands under the jaw, you can use a remedy such as aspirin or Advil.

2. COLD SORE FIRST AID REQUIRES KEEPING THE SORE CLEAN

Reducing the quantity of herpes simplex virus is very important for successful treatment of your cold sore. It is the best thing you can do to prevent spreading the virus to other parts of your body.

You can do this by constantly cleaning the sore with alcohol or hydrogen peroxide. Always use a cotton ball or tissue and throw it away when you are done. You can get handy foil wrapped alcohol pads at the store.

3. FIRST AID FOR GROWING NEW SKIN OVER THE COLD SORE WOUND

There are amazing remedies you put directly on the cold sore that will heal it extremely fast.

A top favorite is live Aloe Vera gel – fresh from the leaf of a live plant. Do not mess with the bottled stuff. Bottled gel is pasteurized and has lost the active enzymes that help healing.

Yes, the Aloe Vera plant is well worth your while. But the following cold sore remedies can be used with or without the Aloe Vera to quickly heal any cold sore.

Warm up a tea bag in water and apply to the cold sore for 10 – 15 minutes at a time. Between tea bag usage, apply zinc sulfate or gluconate. Zicam is an excellent zinc gel for this purpose.

4. BONUS FIRST AID RECOMMENDATIONS FOR COLD SORES

Get and use the best quality vitamin and mineral supplement you can find. Your sores will heal faster. You will get less cold sores in the future. And you will feel better than ever before.

Ice is a great remedy when the cold sore is forming. But, once the sore opens up, ice will slow down healing by driving blood away. Apply heat to bring more blood to the wound and speed up the healing process.

When the cold sore crusts over, it is quite painful when it cracks. Keep the crust soft by applying a vegetable oil such as olive oil. Vitamin E oil works very well for this also.

Finally, look around and find a cold sore treatment program that will actually prevent future cold sores for you. Preventing a cold sore used to be quite difficult but now is very easy.

Do not give up. A cold sore remedy that works for someone else may not work for you. Get to know the enemy. Try different things. Discover cold sore causing situations and foods in your life. Very soon you could be totally free from cold sores.

Looking at Distilled Waters

June 7th, 2008 by Joseph Then
by Joseph Then

Have you ever imagined what would happen if one day water runs out? Yes, you guessed it correctly. We all will die. This is because water is one of the most important resources on Earth. However, this article is a must read as it tells you seven things you must know about distilled water.

For the sake of those who do not know what distilled water is, I will enlighten you. Distilled water is generally water that is free from impurities, toxins and chemicals. Distilled water is odorless and tasteless.

Next, Distilled water does not contain chlorine. Why? This is because chlorine is left behind when the process of boiling is taking place. You must be wondering how distilled water is made. Well, we are going to discuss that soon.

The next thing we are discussing is the process of making distilled water. The easiest way to make distilled water is by distillation. Distillation is a process involving boiling, steaming, evaporation and cooling. Sounds simple enough? I bet.

Why is steaming involved? Steam is very much lighter and less dense. This tells us that steam cannot carry the impurities. As soon as the process is complete, the water is safe to be drunk as they are clear of all impurities such as chemicals, toxins and other wastes such as metal.

If have not known is yet, let me tell you that distillation is a method that has been adopted in many cities also because it is economical. Other than that, distillation is also is a very time consuming process.

You may have heard of purifying water using chlorine but if you drink water with chlorine regularly, it may lead to a number of health problems. If we compare water purified with chlorine and distilled water, we know that distilled water is better as it can be used on a large scale basis to contain or avoid the occurrence of any water borne diseases.

There are a number of misconceptions about distilled water. Most people think that drinking distilled water is not good for the body because they have the perception that there is lack of essential minerals. However, you need to understand that we obtain minerals from the food we eat, not the water we drink.

Have you ever heard of distilled water that can be superheated? Well, let me tell you that that is untrue. If you don’t believe me, why not ask experts around?

So what should you do to get distilled water? Well, I suggest that you should install a home water distiller to get distilled water. Not only it is cheap, it will also be safe to drink and help to cut the cost of electricity bills in the house. With immunity disorder and many other viruses on the rise, it is important that you keep the water in you home safe for drinking.

So, there you have it. All you need to know about distilled water. Why don’t you do yourself and your family a favour and install a water distiller in your home. With that, you can lead a healthy lifestyle!

Preventing Cold Sores – Stopping Cold Sore Damage

May 13th, 2008 by Denny Bodoh
by Denny Bodoh

Preventing cold sores, oral herpes or fever blister outbreaks was at one time thought to be difficult, but now is quite easy. If you will let me, I would like to show you how you can be preventing cold sores within minutes.

Preventing cold sores (fever blisters, oral herpes) can be achieved with a daily intake of premium-quality vitamin supplements. Truly, for many folks, nothing more is needed.

Hard to believe you say? I know exactly what you mean. If it works so well, why do so many cold sore victims still not know about it? Trust me – many smart people are preventing cold sores everyday with this one method alone.

In just a second I will explain more about how using vitamin pills for preventing cold sores can really work. First, though, we should review what actually causes a cold sore.

If you have oral herpes, fever blister or cold sore outbreaks, you were infected by the herpes simplex virus at some earlier point in your life. 89% of the world population is infected with this virus. Usually this happens before our tenth birthday.

The herpes virus is – most of the time – in a latent state. It hides deep below the surface in the roots of your facial nerves. Should it sense a drop in your immune defenses, it will move to the surface, replicate and create a new sore.

When any virus infects us, our body creates anti-bodies against that particular virus strain. Every time you get an oral herpes sore, your body creates more anti-bodies to replenish the existing troops.

If the correct nutrients are available, these anti-bodies will be a strong force in preventing cold sores. Without the needed nutrients, the anti-bodies will be weak and ineffective for preventing cold sores.

A top-quality vitamin and mineral supplement will provide most of the nutrients you will need for preventing cold sores. All the vitamins will have a big impact on oral herpes, plus minerals zinc, magnesium and calcium.

People who get repeated cold sore, fever blister or oral herpes outbreaks are often found to be deficient in calcium. Calcium keeps our bodies from becoming acidic. The herpes virus loves an acidic environment. Get plenty of calcium.

Vitamins B and C are water-soluble vitamins that must be replenished each day. They are the main vitamins that help us cope with stress. As you probably have heard – stress is the number one cause of cold sore events.

The oil-based vitamins A, D and E are the most important nutrients for healthy skin. They help repel damage by the herpes simplex virus and repair it quickly when it happens.

Is it not possible to get all the vitamins we need from a good diet?

Food source nutrients are, without a doubt, the best quality and most effective. Many years ago our farm fields were rich with nutrients – and so was the food grown on them.

Our fields are becoming more and more depleted of healthy nutrients. Certain nutrients are added back to the soil specifically to make the produce look good in the store. But there is no effort to restore nutrition levels to these foods.

Scientists have shown recently that it would take 59 ounces of spinach today to equal the nutrients in one ounce of 1950 spinach. Tomatoes were found to have only half the nutrients they once did. Our bodies are literally starving.

Scientists feel the lack of essential nutrients in food today is an important factor in the epidemic of viruses, such as herpes simplex, that we see now. Chronic disease is at an all time high.

Preventing cold sores requires us to provide our system the nutrients it needs to form powerful antibodies. Organically grown foods are usually much higher in nutrients. But this, too, will not provide the actual quantity your body needs.

A daily vitamin regimen, as many have found, is a simple, powerful way of preventing cold sores. It gives your body the building blocks it needs for a strong immunity against herpes simplex and other viruses.

There are several other tips and tactics you can be using. But taking a good, daily vitamin program is the most important first step in preventing cold sores.

Heal Cold Sores – Enjoy Quick Relief From Your Cold Sore

April 30th, 2008 by Denny Bodoh
by Denny Bodoh

Heal cold sores in a hurry using these proven methods. If you will let me, I will give you some great ideas you can use today to speed heal cold sores.

Want to heal cold sores? You will find there are only two basic ways. Either way can be used by itself. But, combining the two gives you a big edge in your effort to heal cold sores.

Yes, your body knows how to heal cold sores by itself. But it could take up to four weeks or longer. Who wants to go through that long and painful process when you can easily cure it in half the time?

We all want to heal cold sores as soon as possible. To do so, let us quickly review what causes the actual cold sore outbreak – so we can better understand the enemy.

Herpes simplex virus is the cause of all cold sore outbreaks. It enters a surface cell and forces the cell to make exact replicas of the virus. Once the cell is full or exhausted, it is destroyed – releasing these fully functional virus copies.

First, redness and swelling occur as the cells create new virus. Then the host cells break open, creating the open wound. We are very fortunate that this virus only creates sores on the surface, or it would pose a serious health risk.

To heal cold sores fast, you must use at least one of these two techniques.

1. HEAL COLD SORES BY TREATING THEM INTERNALLY.

Do you get more than one cold sore a year? If so, your first priority should be to take a top-rate vitamin and mineral supplement every single day.

Without a doubt, this is the most important first step for fast healing and defending yourself from future outbreaks. A good multi-vitamin will strengthen your immunity against this parasite virus – and all other viruses also.

In addition to a daily multi-vitamin regimen, taking lysine supplements during an outbreak will stop, or slow down, the virus replication process.

Lysine capsules are cheap and convenient. High lysine foods, such as dairy and fish, will help also. During an outbreak, 2000 milligrams to 4000 milligrams per day is common. 4 ounces of flounder contains 3000 milligrams.

The more quickly you stop the virus and send it back into hibernation, the faster you will heal cold sores.

If you suffer from re-occurring outbreaks, quite likely you are starving from calcium deficiency. Your body needs calcium to keep your body alkaline and highly oxygenated. Viruses cannot operate in a high alkaline body.

If you start taking 1000 to 3000 milligrams of calcium per day, you will be amazed. It will make a noticeable difference how often and how severe your sores will be. A good vitamin will already provide the minimum recommended 1000 milligrams.

2. EXTERNAL REMEDIES WORK WELL TO HEAL COLD SORES.

You can heal cold sores much more rapidly with a proven cold sore treatment, salve or ointment, applied directly to the outbreak.

Topical remedies that contain zinc generally work well. Zinc is a great healing mineral, both externally and internally. If the salve does not contain the sulfate or gluconate forms of zinc, avoid it. Other zinc forms will not absorb well enough to be of any value.

Two, strong anti-viral oils that are great as topical remedies are garlic and oregano. Either of these will chase away the cold sore virus quickly, and promote speedy healing of the wound.

Once in the healing stage, the level of your health will determine how fast your body will heal cold sores. You can speed it along with the use of a warm, damp tea bag – along with the oils mentioned previously.

Cleaning the outbreak regularly with hydrogen peroxide or alcohol is essential to prevent spreading the infection or re-occurrence of the same sore. It also prevents the chance of bacterial infection.

As mentioned at the top, your body is perfectly able to heal cold sores without your help. But, the cold sore treatment methods mentioned above will definitely increase your comfort and shorten the duration of your outbreak.

Imagine eliminating the embarrassing and painful sore in less time than ever before. Plus, you can now reduce the number of future outbreaks.

Using internal remedies to support the external remedies you are using is the best and quickest road to heal cold sores rapidly.

Cold Sore Relief – Comforting Relief From Your Cold Sores

April 1st, 2008 by Denny Bodoh
by Denny Bodoh

Cold sore relief can mean a couple things. Fast healing of a present sore, or prevention of future outbreaks. Whatever you are searching for, this quick article will give you the cold sore relief you seek.

Cold sore relief is on the minds of millions of sufferers at any given time. Some treatments are quick, easy and work great. But there are many remedies that are a big waste of money when you need cold sore relief.

Save your money until you try these simple, but well proven, methods of dealing with your cold sores.

Are you seeking fast cold sore relief for an immediate problem?

Your primary desire is to reduce the irritating pain as soon as possible. The next step is to heal the sore fast, so you can get on with your life.

The herpes virus creates cold sores by destroying cells on the end of a nerve fiber. Your body will fight the virus causing headache problems, swelling of the target area, fever and the enlargement of lymph glands located below the jaw.

A headache and fever reducing remedy is certainly in order at this point. Many people use aspirin or similar products for initial cold sore relief. This gives some success in reducing the discomfort.

Applying ice, or other cold object, to the sore quickly relieves pain and reduces swelling. Besides providing blessed comfort, ice can slow down, or prevent, the herpes virus from doing any more damage.

Ice is available anywhere and basically free. But, ice is not always the most convenient for cold sore relief during certain situations, such as driving or working.

When the use of ice is not convenient for you, you may want to try a drug store comfort remedy for cold sores. Choose salves that offer pain deadening benzocaine or lidocaine.

These remedies often work quite well for cold sore relief – by numbing the nerve tips and reducing discomfort. Quite frequently these remedies also provide protection from secondary bacterial infection.

Keep in mind, however, that most of these products only provide comfort and do not speed healing of the sore. They often make big claims, but so far have not proven to actually shorten the duration of an outbreak.

Ice is one of the best for relieving pain and reducing heat and fever. Unfortunately, during the healing phase – after the sore has burst open – ice will slow down healing by driving blood away from the area.

Applying warmth during the healing period will give you the best cold sore relief by helping to cure the outbreak fast.

Using a warm, damp cloth works well. Better yet, a warm, moist tea bag will give much cold sore relief and contains phyto-chemicals that will aid fast healing of your cold sores.

While in the healing phase, clean the sore area regularly with cotton balls or tissue soaked in alcohol or peroxide. When the sore scabs over, keep the crust soft by applying olive oil, or other similar oil. This will reduce painful cracking of the scab.

Once your sore is healed, you will want to take steps to prevent, or reduce, future outbreaks of cold sores.

It is amazing. Nearly 35% of people who have the herpes virus never get cold sores. The primary reason is a strong immune system. Do you get a lot of cold sores each year? If so give the following method a try. It is quite likely you need it.

A good quality vitamin supplement is all many people need to reduce or prevent the frequent appearance of cold sores.

Go to a vitamin store and get a top quality vitamin and mineral supplement. The drug store vitamins you see are usually very poor quality. You will just be wasting your money. And if you do not actually feel the difference, try a different brand of vitamins.

Specifically, the vitamins and minerals you want in large quantities are beta-carotene, vitamins B, C, and E, calcium, magnesium and zinc.

For quick cold sore relief, use ice at the beginning, and warmth during healing. Keep the sore clean and the scab well oiled to avoid re-opening the wound by cracking.

To reduce or eliminate future outbreaks of cold sores, you will benefit greatly by boosting your immune system. To do this, eat more vegetables. In addition, you really should be taking an excellent quality vitamin and mineral supplementation program for the best chance of cold sore relief.
